Comprehensive & Reliable Logistic Solutions
Biala Wind Farm | 2020
Transported 31 Goldwind turbines from Port Kembla to Biala Wind Farm in NSW. A custom-designed trailer overcame low bridge clearances, keeping deliveries on the preferred route and helping complete the transport program within 16 weeks and under budget.
Crookwell 2 Wind Farm | 2018
Delivered 28 GE turbines from Port Kembla to Crookwell 2 Wind Farm in NSW. Coordinated night movements, police escorts and experienced transport crews ensured oversized components navigated tight town streets and challenging winter conditions safely throughout the delivery program.
Crowlands Wind Farm | 2019
Transported 39 Senvion turbines from Portland to Crowlands Wind Farm in western Victoria. Careful port coordination and specialised towing equipment helped crews manage shared storage, oversized tower sections and steep site roads with gradients reaching 20%.
Flyers Creek Wind Farm | 2022
Delivered 38 GE turbines and a 120-tonne transformer from Port Kembla to Flyers Creek Wind Farm in NSW. The scope combined port logistics, heavy haulage and on-site cranage, managing restricted storage and regional transport routes through to final offloading.
Level Crossing Removal Project 1 | 2017
Supported Victoria’s Level Crossing Removal Project by transporting massive precast concrete L-beams to Narre Warren and Waurn Ponds. Weighing approximately 125 tonnes and measuring up to 25 metres, these components supported the construction of new rail infrastructure at both locations.
Level Crossing Removal Project 2 | 2023
Transported oversized concrete beams, pillars and crossheads for Melbourne’s Caulfield-to-Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project. Working around active railway lines, the team coordinated precise overnight deliveries from Melton, supporting Skyrail construction while meeting rail closure windows without disrupting Metro Trains.

The can-do attitude of Ares was unparalleled in the industry. Importantly, it was Ares’ foresight and innovation which brought these projects to completion. A key feature during execution were the bookend trailers safely utilised at Murra Warra. These trailers were specially designed and developed by Ares and partners to transport the largest tower sections ever seen in the Australian wind industry, being 6m in diameter.

Bollore Logistics worked with Ares for the delivery of the 104 WTG Moorabool Wind Farm in rural Victoria. At all times Bollore found Ares to be technically and operationally innovative, highly competitive – providing genuine value for money, totally reliable and compliant with the highest HSE standards. We look forward to working together with Ares again in the future and we would not hesitate to recommend them for any difficult heavy haulage projects.

51 WTGs were delivered safe and sound to the Yandin Wind Farm in WA by ARES, including the longest blade (73.6m) transported in WA.
Transportation in WA came with many challenges, including the fact that each component needed a permit and each permit could only be applied 28 days prior to transportation. Moreover, the bushfires added further difficulties during mobilisation. On top of that, COVID-19 caused many constraints regarding the rotation of interstate resources.
ARES managed to sail through all of these challenges successfully without complaints. ARES always came up with a solution when there was a problem, that made the job far easier than what it could have been otherwise.
